Various models with exceptional robustness

The various SpeedX models differ according to the Z axis stroke and consequently to the diameter of compatible discs.

SpeedX can be equipped with discs from 400 mm to 1400 mm for execution of right-angle cuts up to 750 mm in depth.

The tilting table, spindle vacuum cups, bridge camera, and touch probe make operations of loading/unloading, set up and handling of cut pieces far faster and safer, reducing material wastage and idle times. All this affects productivity so, thanks to SpeedX, you can process more pieces in the same time, thus increasing revenues.

SpeedX stands out also due to its high reliability. All mechanical and electronic components are top quality, while assembly operations are carried out by Breton's expert technicians, all factors that guarantee long product life with a greatly reduced number of problems.

Technological Highlights

Energy Management function for savings in energy usage. Returns the energy recovered during braking to the power grid and/or supplies the energy generated by a motor during braking to another motor during acceleration.

Braking energy recovery
The bridge is moved by a rack and pinion gantry system driven by Siemens brushless motors of the latest generation in order to guarantee rapid and high precision movements.

Bridge with gantry system for rapid movements and precise positioning
This spindle is equipped with a patented rotary union mechanism that makes it possible to replace quickly a cutting disc with a 1/2 GAS motor spindle. Allows speeds of up 6000 rpm with 1/2 GAS tools to enable machining with tangential force. Due to the high spindle power, a sensor checks to presence of the cutting disc in order to adapt the power output based on the specific tool installed at the time.

Special Genius spindle with manual tool change
A vacuum lifter can be installed on the spindle to handle slabs and workpieces safely and rapidly between one cut and the next. The system can lift up to 500 kg when all the vacuum cups are gripping. The presence of this system limits the maximum installable disc diameter to 600 mm.

Robust hot galvanised steel work table with a plywood strip top; on request, the machine can be supplied in a version with a composite plastic work table. The tilting table facilitates slab loading, reducing falling risks and increasing the operator's safety.

Hot galvanised work table available in fixed and tilting versions
The adjustable console equipped with a Siemens terminal with a 24" multi-touch screen and keyboard-mouse surface allows the operator to program the machine easily and quickly. The intuitive Breton Sphera HMI exploits the full potential and widespread compatibility of Windows 10.

In addition to the power of the system, the use of Siemens components means being able to rely on ongoing system developments and updates plus the constant availability of spare parts, anywhere in the world.

This system, available on request, allows the execution of rodding cuts on the slab underside to avoid sudden breaks when making cuts very close to the edge. The system can be installed on a specific floor standing support alongside the work table and it is equipped with a 400 mm diameter disc and a 7.5 kW motor.
