The entire structure of SpeedX is optimised by means of FEM and FMEA studies. This means that all the geometries in the machine's columns-bridge-carriage-ram assembly are designed to create a structure that offers exceptional stiffness when subjected to mechanical stress, this attribute being necessary especially when machining high thickness stone products. This type of structure makes it possible to achieve high levels of precision while shortening machining times.

SpeedX has a new Siemens ultra-wide 24” touch screen control panel that allows the operator to program the required cuts with ease with just a few touches on the screen.
The Breton Sphera suite runs on Windows 10 and can be used in two modes.
Easy mode is designed for simple operations or for less expert operators, and it allows programming in just a few steps. Advanced mode makes it possible to exploit the potential of the software to the full, using all the available functions.

Structural components designed and assembled in Breton's plants, together with the latest generation of Siemens motors and electronics, mean this cutting centre offers top level reliability in its product class. Axis movements are provided by helical tooth racks which, with respect to spur tooth racks, have higher load bearing capacity, are more durable and emit less noise.
The spindles available for the various models guarantee the maximum power, torque, and rpm, placing them at the very top of their class.
Thanks to the use of high performance discs, productivity can be increase by up to 50% with respect to market standards.

The two motors installed on the head, responsible for A axis movements, generate an electronic preload that offsets any backlash and increases stiffness of the head system by up to 9-fold compared to a standard single motor version. This benefit leads to the best results when processing workpieces on up to 5 axes.
The ideal solution for machining high thicknesses
The various SpeedX models differ according to the Z axis stroke and consequently to the diameter of compatible discs.
SpeedX can be equipped with discs from 400 mm to 2000 mm for execution of right-angle cuts up to 750 mm in depth.
The tilting table, spindle vacuum cups, bridge camera, and touch probe make operations of loading/unloading, set up and handling of cut pieces far faster and safer, reducing material wastage and idle times. All this affects productivity so, thanks to SpeedX, you can process more pieces in the same time, thus increasing revenues.

This spindle is equipped with a patented rotary union mechanism that makes it possible to replace a cutting disc with an ISO 40 tool rapidly. Allows speeds of up 10,000 rpm with ISO 40 tools to enable machining with tangential force. A vacuum lifter can be installed on the spindle to handle slabs and workpieces safely and rapidly between one cut and the next. The system can lift up to 500 kg when all the vacuum cups are gripping. Robust hot galvanised steel work table with a plywood strip top; on request, the machine can be supplied in a version with a composite plastic work table. This system, available on request, allows the execution of rodding cuts on the slab underside to avoid sudden breaks when making cuts very close to the edge.
