Technological highlights

  • The 560 mm diameter lap plate allows the use of 10 abrasive tools and ensures the highest material removal capacity and stability for perfect, uniform polishing. The vertical and tangential cushioning system assures ultra-sensitive processing without relinquishing access to the full power output when high surface pressure is needed, especially in coarse grains.

  • This Breton patented system completely eliminates the problem of opacity along the slab borders. The system generates an oscillatory movement of the spindles group and when combined with the beam movement it creates sinusoidal working trajectories developed specifically for each material type. Tango technology gives top quality uniform finishes over the entire surface of the slab, in both polishing and honing.

  • The load-bearing structure is made of arc-welded steel anchored to the foundations without any deformable connecting elements. The bed sub-structure is designed to prevent process water pooling, which could damage the frame.

  • The splash barrier protects against the egress of material, keeping the work area clean and safe. The barrier is fully automatic: it adjusts its height according to the thickness of the slab being processed and rises once the process is finished.

  • The manual centralised lubrication system with pump and lube cycle selected from a single position is composed of a grease reservoir, a pump with a fine mesh double strainer system, progressive dividers and tubing; the automatic pump can be added as an accessory.
