The motor spindle has a very steep torque curve so it can deliver full power even at low rpm. This makes it possible to take on even the most demanding operations.
The tool is constantly cooled internally and externally. The high power motor spindle requires an efficient heat dissipation system. That's why the spindle is served by a closed-circuit chiller, which ensures coolant wastage is kept to a minimum.
This type of tool holder makes for greater stiffness and precision, with reduced vibration.
Axis speed of up to 40 m/min makes it possible to switch from one operation to the next in the minimum possible time.

Shapemill is available in two versions based on the Y and Z axis strokes, which vary in accordance with the incremental size of the operating range: up to 5,500 mm for Y and up to 2,000 mm for Z.
The larger the available area the more workpieces can be loaded on the machine, thus streamlining work processes thanks to optimisation of tool paths and tool changes.

The Breton Maestro proprietary software suite allows control of the machining centre by 3D CAD/CAM programming of complex stone components.
The Advanced version is designed for operations using 3+2 axes mode, allowing the production of kitchen worktops, vanity tops, shower trays, bas-reliefs, statues, columns and balustrades. The Ultimate version offers all the necessary features for the best design and simulation of continuous 5-axis machining operations.
Both versions include the Virtual Machine package to simulate the tool path in 3D, check for potential tool-workpiece collisions, and view the removed material.

The Shapemill range is primarily available in 2 versions: 1600 and 2000.
With Z axis strokes up to 1,500 mm, cross strokes up to 4,000 mm and longitudinal strokes up to 30,000 mm, Shapemill is the machining centre for tough materials with the highest operating volume in the Breton range.
Thanks to the various compatible tool stores, automatic tool or cutting disc changes allow the machining centre to operate in unmanned mode.
Both versions can be equipped with a cutting disc up to 1000 mm in diameter.
The possibility of adding the tool store, in the “straight” and “circular” available versions, results in high capacity for machining with milling cutters and grinding wheels for shaping.
